We didn’t really trash it although it did get a bit dirty from the sand and moss, does that count ?
With all these storms rolling through I was dying to get some really dynamic looking shots down at the beach with dark clouds off the horizon and a bride willing to hang out on the rocks near the waves. Kristy is a friend of ours who agreed to be our model with her wedding dress for the evening in exchange for a Starbucks coffee “with room” and dinner. We actually fed her what all models eat, In-n-Out burger and some fries.
We headed down to setup and start shooting around 3pm hoping we would catch the sun peaking through the clouds and get some great lighting opportunities. While Beth and Kristy worked the wedding dress angle in the truck, Carrie and I unloaded our gear and got setup. At first there was a lot of blue sky but the clouds finally appeared and we captured some really amazing shots of Kristy in her dress.
To all brides out there, these shots took about 2 hours but we easily could have finished in 1 hour so make sure you set aside enough time for your photographer to capture great images of you in your wedding dress. Of course you’ll also need a beach, cool clouds and high tide, but those things are easy to find.
